About RDEnochs DESIGN

My passion for art began when I was a child growing up in rural Nebraska. I was always doodling with a pencil and paper. My first challenge was a ‘Draw Me!’ contest I found in a magazine my mother brought home from the salon where she worked as a hair stylist. I won a box of toys – more toys than I had ever seen in my life. Later I started drawing my favorite comic book character, Superman, and other super heroes. I knew then that creativity was a part of my soul.

My interest in art continued to flourish throughout grade school and high school. By the time I entered college I knew my studies would focus on art. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Nebraska, Kearney, where I majored in sculpture, a medium that cultivated my sense of visualization and developed my understanding of form and function.

After moving to New York City I spent many years in the banking profession. My creativity took on many forms as I implemented various innovations and learned to manage people and projects. Even during my long career in business I found ways to pursue my artistic side through projects that ranged from designing a logo for a dance company to illustrating a book of cartoons about the adult experience of wearing braces. Following a 35-year career in banking, I earned a certificate in graphic design from Hunter College. Now I am anxious to get back to my roots and apply my design skills in the graphic design industry. As a freelance graphic designer my services include poster and flyer design, logo design, business card and letterhead design, and illustrations. My creative design solutions offer a mix of artistic energy, sound decision-making abilities, and a Midwestern work ethic.
